Holiday traditions in the Northwest start on the water with Argosy Cruises. The Argosy Cruises Christmas Ship™ Festival is a holiday celebration that has been a Pacific Northwest tradition since 1949. Every year, the Argosy Christmas Ship™ sails to different Puget Sound waterfront communities, around 65 in total. Choirs on board give 20-minute performances to these communities, all broadcast via our state-of-the-art speaker system. On shore, thousands of people gather around roaring bonfires anticipating the arrival of the Christmas Ship™.
Argosy Cruises is proud to donate a portion of all ticket sales to benefit The Seattle Times Fund For The Needy, an annual program that raises money for several charitable organizations in the Puget Sound area.
The 2nd Annual Christmas Ship™ Parade of Boats Night will add a special twinkle to Lake Union on the evening of Friday, December 16 between 7pm and 9pm. More than 65 boats registered to participate in the inaugural parade in 2015. The brightly-decorated boats will convene in Lake Union and begin their promenade westward through the Fremont Cut around 8:30 pm. Vessel registration is open Tuesday, November 15 through Tuesday, December 6.
Join Argosy Cruises and 101.5 SANTA FM for the Christmas Ship™ Festival for the 2nd Annual Parade of Boats Night official onshore viewing party on Friday, December 16th from 7:30pm to 9:30pm at Evanston Plaza in the Fremont Lake Union Center (Off of Evanston Ave North and North Northlake Way)! Decorated boats from all over the region convene and promenade around Lake Union, then travel westward through the Fremont Cut. The Dickens Carolers will also perform from on board the official Christmas Ship™ as they sail through the cut, past the onshore viewing party.
Cayle Thompson from KOMO TV and Curt Kruse from 101.5 SANTA FM will be helping judge the decorated boats featured in the parade. Plus cast your vote for the People’s Choice Award on Argosy’s Facebook page. While you’re watching the procession, make sure to stop by the 101.5 SANTA FM tent to spin the prize wheel and win Almond Roca, an Argosy Inaugural Christmas Ship™ Scarf, and more fun gifts while supplies last!
Be a part of the most dazzling nautical holiday spectacle in the Pacific Northwest. In the tradition of Grand Finale Night, decorated boats from all over the region convene in Lake Washington and join Argosy as we cruise west through the Montlake Cut to Portage Bay, and on to Lake Union for the final choral performance offshore from Gas Works park.
