On-board Tour Guides/Crew & Guest Services:
A vessel based customer service position that includes diverse responsibilities in a dynamic challenging environment.
Responsibilities include: All onboard guest services including: entertaining and interacting with customers, merchandise, food and beverage sales, "Narrating" on popular public cruises, vessel set-up and cleaning, as well as Line handling and deckhand work. Long days during peak season.
Qualifications: This is a very active job that requires you to be on your feet most of the time with the ability to: Lift 25 lbs, getting on & off the boats, stepping down from slow moving platform with a 3' to 4' step, climbing over barriers 4' high.
Shoreside Guest Services Crew:
A shore-based customer service position that includes diverse responsibilities. The jobs of reservations agent, sales associate, announcer and event photographer are combined in a vibrant challenging environment.
Responsibilities include: Actively selling a variety of Argosy products and merchandise from ticket booths, "Argosy Visitor Center" and "Guest Service" outlets, attracting customers to ticket booth with frequent announcements over public address systems, "Event" and "Boarding" photography and photo-processing. Answering customer inquiry calls, front reception desk rotation, taking reservations for daily and special event cruises, assisting sales and marketing with desktop publishing & word processing projects, mass mailings and general office work. Hours and shifts vary by season.
Qualifications: This is a very active job that requires you to be on your feet most of the time, with walking back and forth to different areas of responsibilities.

Captain
(No current Captain positions available, but applications are accepted & kept on file) Responsible for all aspects of vessel operation including: safe vessel maneuvering, trouble shooting mechanical problems, management of all on-board staff, customer interaction and narrating. Requirements include: Coast Guard 100 ton Masters license, VHF radiotelephone license, CPR certificate, First Aid certificate, documented experience on similar vessels.
Cruise Director (December only)
Responsible for performing host functions on-board vessels, including greeting, public speaking, organizing and leading Christmas carol sing-a-longs and other on-board activities. Training provided.
Santa Claus (December only)
Applicant must fit the part and play the roll of a traditional Santa Claus on-board during the Argosy Christmas Ship and following vessels. Responsible for entertaining and interacting positively with children and adults. Costumes, accessories, and make up provided.
