Argosy Cruises welcomes Tillicum Village into its family of products beginning with the 2009 Tillicum Season!
Since 1962, guests have visited Tillicum Village for the fresh salmon dinner and to experience Northwest Coast Native American Culture. Argosy has been a proud partner of Tillicum, providing the boat transportation to and from Blake Island for all of these years. Beginning this April, Argosy will take over the day-to-day operations. Rest assured that the same great product and entertainment will remain a part of your island experience.
Your 4-hour adventure begins with an Argosy cruise on Puget Sound to Blake Island. Here, you'll make your way up a path strewn with clam shells bleached by the sun. Enjoy an appetizer of clams and nectar before entering the long house for your buffet dinner.
Guests can watch whole salmon being cooked on cedar stakes over an alder-wood fire in the traditional Northwest Coast Indian Style.
As you finish your meal, the lights dim while the myth and magic come to life in the spellbinding performance featuring the Tillicum Village dancers. The highly acclaimed show, originally developed by Greg Thompson Productions, leads visitors through an enchanting tour of the customs, beliefs and dances of the Northwest Coast Indians.
After the show, you'll have free time to stroll the gift shop and the area before returning to Seattle.
