For over 70 years, Argosy Cruises has been part of the Northwest fabric. Founded as the Spring Street Water Taxi and then through the years operating as Seattle Harbor Tours and now as Argosy Cruises, our family-owned and Seattle-operated company has become the Northwest's premier cruise company.
We offer must-see tourist attractions, like Seattle's Original Harbor Cruise™, host countless social parties and corporate events, and put on community activities, including the annual Christmas Ship™ Festival and other holiday events. Tillicum Excursion has been a local cultural icon since 1962, and is the quintissential Northwest experience. We've since added our newest Blake Island experience, called the Evergreen Excursion, which features guided nature hikes, kayaking and island exploration.

My name is Samantha and I’ve been a crew member at Argosy Cruises since 2014. I get to work on every boat in the fleet where I rotate through deckhand, narrating, and bartending. I’ve been bosun of the best boat in the fleet, the Goodtime III, for around four years and it’s my favorite part of the job. I’m originally from Minnesota, but thanks to giving tours every day I know so much more about Seattle than my own hometown these days. My favorite part of the city to focus on is its unique history. Despite having no boat experience prior to taking this job, I’d like to think I’ve become a very skilled deckhand and really enjoy taking our boats to different docks around the region. Argosy has become a second home and family for me in Seattle and I’m so happy to be a part of the team - Bosun, Goodtime III
My name is Jeremy and I’m a Seattle local. I grew up boating with my Grandpa and spending time at the local beaches and on the Puget Sound. I’ve always felt more at home outside or near the water than in an office. Being able to spend time on the water while telling people about the city I grew up in is a blast. Everyday at Argosy is different. This variety keeps me learning and improving my skills in maritime and guest services. Another huge plus are my co-workers. I get to work with some truly fantastic people who are passionate about Seattle and the Puget Sound - Vessel Crew
I'm Frank and I moved back to Seattle in late 2007 from Metlakatla, Alaska. I got to visit Tillicum Village® as a guest at the time my sister and brother worked there. The show before was called "Dance on the Wind," a Greg Thompson production, which I enjoyed. One year later, I started working on Blake Island as a server and quickly learned you take on multiple roles: server, fish cook, dish washer, kitchen crew and dancer. When Argosy Cruises added Tillicum Village® to their offerings in early 2009, I transitioned from the island to the boats, working as a deck hand. It was a hard transition, but after a while I got the hang of deck handing. A couple of years later when the dance program at Tillicum Village® changed, I was one of the few who helped put it together, and continue to do so to this day. It is called "Shaman Odyssey." My new role as Cultural Coordinator is to share my knowledge of Native American traditions and history. My focus is to educate as well as entertain. I always treat everyone as though they are long distance relatives I'm always happy to see. Your friend and relative, Frank - Cultural Coordinator
My name is Ashley and I’ve been a part of the Shoreside Hospitality Department for almost four years. I was, fortunately, introduced to Argosy by an old colleague who invited me on a Harbor Cruise - I found out they were hiring and well, you can guess how that ended! My job has given me the benefit of meeting guests from all over the world and forming meaningful bonds with members of my team. In my work experience, Argosy has allowed me to become more confident in the way that I speak and has given me opportunities to express myself creatively with different projects that everyone can be a part of! I’m excited for what else Argosy has in store for me 🙂 - Shoreside Hospitality Crew
Hello! My name is Kent, and I have been with Argosy Cruises for two years now as a supervisor of Shoreside Hospitality. Originally from the East Coast, I was transplanted to the Southwest as a teen, and eventually relocated my family to Seattle over twenty-two years ago. This amazing city is where I have proudly raised my children, experiencing all of the incredible adventures the Pacific Northwest has to offer. This includes the many wonderful opportunities in and around the waters of Puget Sound and, of course, sailing with Argosy Cruises. Incredible memories of surprise Tillicum Excursions for Father's Day with my wife and children, made it an easy choice for me to join this amazing Seattle institution. I like to tell everyone that I'm living the dream as an adult of playing with boats in a giant bathtub while meeting amazing people from around the globe - Harbor Team Supervisor, Shoreside Hospitality
My name is Eddie and I've worked at Argosy Cruises since 2016. I grew up on the Kitsap Peninsula, which has always been a prominent Navy town. Over the past year, I have been transitioning into a new role as Cruise Director for both our Blake Island and Christmas Ship products. This change has allowed me to utilize my previous experience in the event hosting and public speaking field in a way that I believe is beneficial for our guests, the company, and my career. As a college student, Argosy has allowed me to be especially flexible with my schedule so that I can work and learn without conflict. During the summer months, the same consideration is used to avoid being double-booked with my responsibilities at Major League Baseball. Many of my close friends are current or former employees of the company, and my circle grows larger every year. It's a continuity that I value the most here, even through the changes as we sail into the 2020's - Cruise Director, Blake Island & Christmas Ship™
