Cruise to nearby Blake Island – home to the famous Tillicum Longhouse – and experience Pacific Northwest adventure, culture and beauty with our 5-hour Blake Island Excursions. With three unique excursion options to choose from, there’s an adventure for everyone.

Explore the miles of beaches or trails, enjoy s’mores at a private fire table or relax in the backyard with a craft cocktail. Immerse yourself in the history and culture of the Coast Salish tribes through traditional storytelling, dance and food demonstrations.

Nestled between Bainbridge and Vashon Island, your Blake Island adventure is just a quick boat ride away!

  • 45-minute, fully-narrated boat ride to and from Blake Island
  • A mouth-water glimpse into the history of traditionally prepared steelhead

Choose One of Three Unique Excursions:

Coast Salish Excursion: Fans of Tillicum Village – this one is for you! Immerse yourself in the history and culture of the Coast Salish tribes in the Tillicum Theater. Enjoy a 1-hour cultural presentation featuring masks, regalia and ancestral dances and storytelling. After the presentation, you are invited to stay for Q&A with our knowledgeable cultural staff. Guided Nature Walk Excursion: Explore the beauty and nature of the island with the Guided Nature Walk. Enjoy a 2.4 mile (round-trip) docent-led nature walk with interpretation of the forest’s flora and fauna. Take a quick break on the beach to take in the spectacular views before you head back to the Tillicum Longhouse. Excursion itinerary.

Kayak Excursion: (Tandem, Ages 10+) Get out on the water with Vashon Adventures with the Kayak Excursion. Explore the waters, shores and views of Blake Island on this 1-hour, self-guided tandem paddle. The experts will get you all set-up to enjoy your time on the water – no experience required! Trip Protection offers peace of mind at a time that flexibility is more important than ever. How it works: If you need to rebook for any reason, we will issue you a credit for the value of your cruise to book a later date and time. Credits will be valid for up to one year after the original date of your cruise. There are no fees to rebook.

Cruise route is approximate and can change based on each sailing’s weather patterns, vessel traffic, and other non-predictable factors, and based on our experienced captains’ discretion.
